Financial Literacy for Older Adults

This presentation will discuss key financial concepts, including (but not limited to) the basics of securities investing, risk and risk management, elder abuse, tips for successful investing, and estate planning tools for seniors. This presentation encourages advanced planning and informed financial decision-making! This program is provided through the FINRA Investor Advocacy Program at Seton Hall Law, a clinic that provides free legal representation to qualified New Jersey residents and conducts financial literacy presentations throughout the state.

About the Speakers: Katherine Farmer and Emily Arezzi

Katherine Farmer is a third-year law student at Seton Hall Law, where she is a participant in the 2023-2024 FINRA Investor Advocacy Program, Social Chair for the Corporate Law Society, and Associate Editor for the Law Review. Following graduation, Katherine will be clerking with the New Jersey Appellate Division before ultimately pursuing a career in securities litigation.

Emily Arezzi is a third-year law student at Seton Hall Law, where she a participant in the 2023-2024 FINRA Investor Advocacy Program, President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and Articles Editor for the Law Review. She lives in Jersey City with her fiancĂ© and two black cats.
